Dale Davis With The Tomcats - Crazy Little Guitar Man / Haven't You Heard album mp3
Young Man with a Horn (BLP 5013) is the second studio album of Miles Davis, released as a 10-inch mono LP recorded and released by the Blue Note label in 1952. The album title is presumably a reference to the 1950 film Young Man with a Horn. It was Davis' only official album recorded or released that year, at a time in his career while he was struggling with heroin addiction. This was the first of three 10"LPs recorded by Davis for Blue Note in the early 1950s
The Man with the Horn is an album released by Miles Davis in 1981, featuring drummer Al Foster, saxophonist Bill Evans, guitarists Mike Stern and Barry Finnerty, and others. It was Davis's first new release since 1975, following a six-year reclusive retirement. Rock-oriented in nature, the music fuses 1980s pop with improvisational funk and fusion styles.
Probably you haven’t heard some of the songs for quite a while and it makes you feel good to hear them again. After Uncle Tupelo pretty much defined the modern alt-country genre with the electric guitar driven albums No Depression and Still Feel Gone they released one of the best acoustic albums you will ever hear. Personally I think Paul Westerberg of the Replacements wrote some brilliant tunes that translate well to acoustic. The black keys- little black submarines (first 2 minutes) and just got to be (probably doesn’t qualify. May 23, 2015 at 1:38 am.
Herewith, Jody Rosen’s list of sixty great albums you probably haven’t heard. 1. Joni James, 100 Strings and Joni (1959) There are symphonic pop albums-and then there’s 100 Strings and Joni, on which fifties songbird Joni James tackled a dozen show tunes and standards, backed by a mammoth orchestra . This great Smithsonian Folkways album, a collection of blues rags and folk tunes, earned Cotten many admirers and quite a few foolhardy imitators.
And in the context of Davis’ career, it came after a little record called Kind of Blue. So yeah, dude could have easily gone for low-hanging fruit and delivered something average and probably appeased the jazz-listening world. In a way, it feels like a bridge album between Davis’ straight-ahead jazz and his fusion work with the common element being the long vamps for soloing. The vamps on this album are heavily orchestrated and structured as opposed to the examples on later albums, which feature all instruments improvising. AM: There are a number of informational anecdotes that make . such an important record.
There goes my baby She knows how to rock 'n' roll She drives me crazy She gives me hot and cold fever Then she leaves me in a cool, cool sweat. I gotta be cool, relax, get hip And get on my tracks Take a back seat, hitch-hike And take a long ride on my motorbike until I'm ready Crazy little thing called love. Yeah I gotta be cool, relax, get hip And get on my tracks Take a back seat, hitch-hike (Ah hum, ah hum) And take a long ride on my motorbike Until I'm ready (Ready Freddie) Crazy little thing called love
Haven’t You Heard is a formally perfect expression of disco. The best disco songs imply infinity in both their length and groove, and always feel as if they’re attached to a black hole. Haven’t You Heard enhances time until it feels like the glitter of a cityscape unfurling through a cab window. Of course, Byrne became so obsessed with the record, he tracked Zé down and asked if he could release the album in the States, as the first dispatch of his then-new Luaka Bop records. Soon after, Zé was enjoying overdue fame as samba’s best deconstructionist. Zé grew up in the Hinterlands of Bahia, Brazil, in a village so remote that it didn’t get electricity until he was 17; soon after, he studied modernist composition and hooked up with the tropicalistas in urban Salvador.
