On Hans-Peter Lindstrøm’s latest album, those northern disco lights are twinkling once more. Over the continuous stream of nine interlocked tracks on ‘It’s Alright Between Us As It Is,’ he’s refined his love of arpeggiated synths, warm and steamy analogue bubble baths and earworm melodies into his most rounded and complete statement to date. A Norwegian based in Oslo, Lindstrøm has always made a virtue of his obsessive work ethic, turning his city centre studio (where his neighbours include friends and collaborators Prins Thomas, Todd Terje and Andre Bratten) into a factory floor for churning.
Hans-Peter Lindstrøm (born 16 February 1973) is a Norwegian producer who works under the name Lindstrøm. He established the music label Feedelity in 2002. He often collaborates with fellow producer Prins Thomas (together constituting the musical group Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas). Lindstrøm won a Spellemannsprisen in 2008 for Where You Go I Go Too. He released a DJ mix album for the Late Night Tales compilation series on Azuli Records on 9 July 2007.
It's always fun when an album comes along to fill a need you didn't even know you had. "Wouldn't it be sweet if an album took the prickly psych damage of Black Dice but made it work in the context of epic rock, so that it had the cathartic build of early Mogwai?" Why, yes- yes it would: Enter Bristol two-piece Fuck Buttons. Their most obvious gift is to use harsh sounds in service of something more conventionally musical. The scruffy Norwegian Hans-Peter Lindstrøm might still be better known for his collaborations with Prins Thomas, but he has on his own produced perhaps the most audacious musical statement of 2008. Inspired by the multistage epics from electronic music's past, Where You Go I Go Too nevertheless can't be explained away as a genre experiment.
This week's BOKATAPE is a remix/cover, based on the acapella track from Lindstrøm's last single 'Didn't Know Better' featuring the lovely vocals of Ronika. Смотреть видео Lindstrøm - Didn't Know Better (BOKA remix) на ВТренде бесплатно. 281. 2 1 Sound Sunsets 7 мес.
