Anton Corbijn has done better work than this. Check out his early videos for Depeche Mode on Strange. This is one long concept piece all shot on super 8 around the time of Music for the Masses. I've really enjoyed the series up until now, it has breathtaking videoclips and commercials but The Work Of Director Anton Corbijn just sucks big time. Although it was fun to see Enjoy The Silence and Heart Shaped Box again.

He had directed some of the most beautiful videos (U2 - Electrical Storm) as well as some extremely weird ones (Mercury Rev - Opius 40) and some amusing ones (Echo and The Bunnymen - Seven Seas). The DVD had a very good documentary about him, and some of the videos he has directed.
There’s no need to know that he was born in Holland and raised a Christian to understand that this is a man who clearly grapples with his faith.
