James are an English rock band from Manchester, who were formed in 1982 and enjoyed popularity throughout the 1990s. The band's best-known singles include "Come Home", "Sit Down", "She's a Star" and "Laid", which also became a hit on American college radio. Following the departure of lead singer Tim Booth in 2001, the band became inactive, but reunited in January 2007 and has gone on to produce a further six albums
The band released their debut album, The Scream, in November 1978. Nick Kent of NME said of the record: "The band sounds like some unique hybrid of the Velvet Underground mated with much of the ingenuity of Tago Mago-era Can, if any parallel can be drawn". The album Superstition followed shortly afterwards, and the group toured the US as second headliners of the inaugural Lollapalooza tour. of an award given to Siouxsie at the Mojo ceremony in 2005. So what’s the point of a hot sauce if we’re not getting some flavor with the burn? Indeed, almost all of those so-called sauces that sky past one-million Scoville units have to use extracts to pad those numbers.
1950s: Joined the Gospel Starlighters in 1953, a vocal quartet led by Bobby Byrd, after completing a four-year stint in prison for robbery. As Brown became the focal point of the act, the group changed its name to 'The Famous Flames' and its focus from gospel to R&B. It is the only gold-certified (500,000 copies sold) album of his career. 1984: Bronx DJ Afrika Bambaataa teams up with Brown to record the anthemic single "Unity". 1986: "Living In America", the theme song from Rocky IV, reaches on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, becoming Brown's biggest pop hit since "I Got You (I Feel Good)" went to in 1965.
