Redirected from Original Dixieland Jazz Band). The Original Dixieland Jass Band (ODJB) was a Dixieland jazz band that made the first jazz recordings in early 1917. Their "Livery Stable Blues" became the first jazz record ever issued. The group composed and recorded many jazz standards, the most famous being "Tiger Rag". In late 1917 the spelling of the band's name was changed to Original Dixieland Jazz Band.

Bourbon Street (French: Rue Bourbon) is a historic street in the heart of the French Quarter of New Orleans. Extending thirteen blocks from Canal Street to Esplanade Avenue, Bourbon Street is famous for its many bars and strip clubs. With 1. 4 million visitors in 2017 alone, New Orleans depends on Bourbon Street as a main tourist attraction. Tourist numbers have been growing yearly after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and the city has successfully rebuilt its tourist base.

Harold "Duke" Dejan (February 4, 1909 – July 5, 2002) was a New Orleans jazz alto saxophonist and bandleader. Dejan is best remembered as leader of the Olympia Brass Band, including during the 1960s and 1970s when it was considered the top band in the city.

Bourbon Street is a reference to the main drag in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana. While it's also a major tourist attraction, that attraction is due mainly to the street being tiled solid with bars, strip clubs, and general seedy business. The area was one of the few parts of New Orleans unscathed by Hurricane Katrina. The Dream of the Blue Turtles was Sting's first solo album. He enlisted four acclaimed jazz musicians to play on it and accompany him on the subsequent tour: Branford Marsalis - saxophone Kenny Kirkland - keyboards Darryl Jones - bass Omar Hakim - drums. Marsalis and Kirkland had been members of Branford's brother Wynton Marsalis' band, which caused some friction when they abandoned him for Sting.
