After a slew of 7 and compilation tracks, Long Beach, NY’s The Young Rochelles have now released their debut full-length. The self-titled affair comes with a whopping fourteen cuts worth of highly melodic pop-punk that they charge through in under half an hour. Their influences aren’t exactly very well hidden. There are traces of Screeching Weasel, The Queers and MTX worship strewn all over the place. Have to hand it to these guys though. Ricky, Rookie and Rocky Rochelle know how to write catchy pop-punk songs that come in hot, keep it sweet and get the job done in two minutes or less.
