Where the first Jethro Tull box five years earlier, 20 Years of Jethro Tull, mostly traded on radio broadcast performances and rarities, a few outtakes, and a remastered collection of key songs, 25th Anniversary Boxed Set benefits from a more thorough raid on the vaults that has yielded up one essential addition to any Jethro Tull collection. Disc two is the centerpiece of the set, containing an additional hour of the group's November 4, 1970 concert at Carnegie Hall in New York (two pieces were previously issued on Living in the Past)
The Jethro Tull Christmas. has been added to your Cart. Should you pursue this for the second disc: "Jethro Tull Live/Christmas at St. Bride's 2008"? I must qualify my opinion: I collect both Jethro Tull and select Christmas recordings, so this issue should be a "can't miss" for me-and it is. The St. Bride's disc alternates between gorgeously rendered Tull offerings, tasteful St. Bride's choir pieces (four voices:quaint and charming), and select seasonal readings. Ian reads an excerpt from Walter Scott's "Marmion," and his son-in-law (on the occasion of his wife's birthday) reads a piece.
Jethro Tull’s tenth studio album ‘Songs From The Wood’ is set for deluxe reissue by Parlophone Records on May 19th 2017. Songs From The Wood is often referred to as one of the most commercially appealing Jethro Tull albums, containing elements of rock, prog and folk-rock. Although media reaction at the time divided opinion, the album has certainly developed a nostalgic rapport with fans through the years and it is perceived today as one of the band’s most popular albums. These tracks have been reconstructed as a complete set and then remixed to stereo by Jakko Jakszyk and are completely unheard.
