Visions of Atlantis is a metal band from Styria, Austria, founded in 2000. Inspiration came both from successful symphonic power metal band Nightwish and from the myth of Atlantis. Fascinated by the myth of Atlantis, Werner Fiedler, Thomas Caser, Christian Stani, and Chris Kamper decided in August 2000 to work out a concept inspired by the secret of Atlantis. Late in summer mezzo-soprano Nicole Bogner joined the project, and this was the birth of Visions of Atlantis.
Atlantis is not a musical animated feature, so this is the only actual music/lyrics song, and it's fairly generic Diane Warren-written fare. James Newton Howard's score that follows brims with excitement, with the opening track "The Submarine" tackling a slight Western film motif before marching in with dramatic brass swells. The score follows the film's story, from the danger filled "Milo's Turned Down" through the booming, choir-enhanced adventure explosion "The Leviathan" and on to the mystical "City of Atlantis" and beyond. That and of course the obligatory advertising for more Atlantis-related products.

Atlantis: The Lost Empire (soundtrack). Atlantis: The Lost Empire, released on May 22, 2001, is the soundtrack to the 2001 Disney animated film of the same name. Consisting primarily of James Newton Howard's score, it also includes the Diane Warren penned song, "Where the Dream Takes You", performed by Mýa. The songs in the advertisements are Come Sail Away and Wipeout are used but it wasn’t in the film itself.

Pharrell is continuously looking for new directions to take his career, and now he’s working on an upcoming musical called Atlantis. After a successful campaign on Hidden Figures, Skateboard P and co-producer Gil Netter approached FOX Studios with the idea of shooting a musical film based on his life as a youngster in Virginia Beach. Executives loved the concept so much that they recruited Broadway tycoon Michael Mayer to direct the project and Toy Story 4 writer Martin Hynes to come up with a blockbuster script.
