This album is exactly what happens when you take what was done in thefirst two installments in the series and give it more of an actual direction. While I enjoyed the obvious experimentation in the first 2 FP albums, this iseasily where they started to get it right. The first two albums sound very different from the sets that would come afterwardand even to the point where they almost sound like they were just thrown togetherwith whatever was lying around. They're not bad and they DO have some tracks I very much loved. They just don'thave the kind of flow that finally got established here with Volume 3.There are some very interesting tracks here and even though it isn't the smoothestmix in the series, it does a great job at keeping things interesting."Energy Transpose" and "Amanita Muscara" are the most standout tracks for meand really help make the mix but there's just good raw energy here overall.Definitely gives that "underwater" feeling too like the album title suggests. My #4 pick in the series.

Indeed. I STILL haven't heard anyone mention the Forbidden paradise series when discussing Tiesto's works. I was very surprised by this mix in particular; it's building tempo and fluid integration from melodic trance to the ending tracks. The last tracks of this record defy definition; too fast to be trance, to deep to be happy hardcore, and not hard enough to be gabber hardcore. Of all the albums mixed by Tiesto, this one truly showcases his in-the-mix versatility.

Unbelievable, i just stumbled on a mix where one of my oldest songs (Berlin Inc) has been mixed in by no less then mr Tiesto. Raijin hits the nail on describing exactly what i've felt when making that song :-)

An excellent oldskool trance mix. Has a lot of variety in it's sound - occasionally hard acid tracks are mixed in, and there is a gabber song on the album as well. The mix starts building up right from the start, finally exploding with "Access". It then stays at a peak for a while building up and down, until finally dropping down to a nice conclusion. This is definitely DJ Tiesto's lost treasure (you never hear this mentioned when it comes to DJ Tiesto's best work). This comes close to rivaling the incredible "In Search of Sunrise" and "Magik" series'. It's probably about equal to Nyana.
