Was this pressed using the master tape? The sound is just horrible!!!!! Music is great but not the pressing. There are a lot of distortion and overall sound is not balanced at all. It sounds really REALLY awful. It sounds like low bit rate mp3s pressed on vinyl. It sounds very muffled with so much distortions. I have other finders keepers lps and they do not sound like this. Very very disappointing!!! I think the cassette copy would sound better than this. ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Music is 4 stars, but the pressing is like below one star.

My vinyl copy sounds pristine, and my playback system is analog/tube.

Emerald Web made amateur fantasy soundtracks that simmer with imagination and energy. Bubbly synthesizers and soaring flute music crackle on a sputtering tape machine. The warm distortion of the medium is fertile soil wherein grow a rare mythological vintage. Musical science fiction evoking alien worlds. The soul steals away to colourful universes, where chlorophyll veins pulse in strange conscious lifeforms. Every layer tells a different story in the epic histories of these places, formed in the minds of these two egg head deities, Kat Epple and Bob Stool. May the narcotic needle of your turntable spaceship inject you with pleasant dreams.

Finally reissued... So glad Finders Keepers made this happen. Instantly picked it up at the local dealer. They still have some copies left, as well as the compilation The Stargate Tapes on FindersKeepers. Absolutely worth checking out for expanding your mind, your body etc.. and for every other occassion...

I have a different version of this cassette with a green photo on the cover, below it the text reads "friends of the Web appearing on the recording Ben carriel - percussion, Jon serrie - synthesizer. Laser photo by Charles O'Conner, laser image design and concept by BobKat." no label or imprint, seemingly self released pro dubbed tape.
