Daniele Gatti is an Italian conductor who has generally been associated with opera. Gatti's choice of repertory in opera has favored the classic Italian operas, but is inclusive of most periods. In the symphonic realm, he has divulged a penchant for the post-Romantic era and early twentieth century, favoring the aforementioned Tchaikovsky and Mahler, as well as Bartók, Prokofiev, and Respighi. Gatti has recorded for several labels, including Harmonia Mundi, Conifer, and RCA. Daniele Gatti was born in Milan on November 6, 1961.

He was Chief Conductor of Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam and previously he has held prestigious roles at important musical institutions like Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia (Roma), Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (London), Orchestre National de France (Paris), Royal Opera House (London), Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Opernhaus Zürich. Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra conducted by Maestro Gatti, thus fostering an incredibly fruitful human and musical exchange. The Italian appointment took place in Turin at the Auditorium of the Lingotto building. In June 2017 he conducted the RCO in an opera production: Salome at the Nationale Opera of Amsterdam.
