Out of Our Minds (often abbreviated as OOOM) is a 2009 fantasy film written by Melissa Auf der Maur and directed by Tony Stone. Starring Auf der Maur as the female protagonist, the film tells the mythological story of "a fantasy world where a Viking heart, a car crash and a bleeding forest connect.
Following her career as a bassist for Hole and The Smashing Pumpkins, Auf der Maur recorded the album over the course of two years in various studios through the United States and Canada with producer Chris Goss

The second solo album from the former Hole and Smashing Pumpkins bassist isn’t merely an album, but a wide-ranging multimedia project that also encompasses a film (which premiered at Sundance), a comic book (which comes with a matching picture-disc vinyl version of the album) and live gallery presentations (including a show at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts). The scope of the project, then, is intriguing. The content, unfortunately, is rather dull.
