Yet another band that takes the image of thrash metal to an almost hilarious extreme (complete with toplessness, spikes and studs, bullet belts, tight leather pants and cheesy poses), Omission released their debut full length album, Thrash Metal Is Violence in 2009, and receiving reissue treatment by Xtreem Music a short year later, with 2 bonus tracks. The 4 second album opener, Bestial Belch, featuring a grotesque burp with the sound of a cocking gun in the background is but a prelude of the insanity to follow. Do not be fooled by the introductory track, however, into thinking that Omission.

Okay, I did not know that thrash metal is violence. I always thought it's a kind of music. However, this album from the Spanish four-piece called Omission tells another story. Too bad that it fails to live up to its name. The dudes play a rather mediocre form of thrash metal, sometimes noisy, sometimes solid and without any kind of surprising elements. Generic thrash is a good thing, but it must be executed cleverly and I am sorry to inform you that the song-writing abilities of the certainly enthusiastic dudes are definitely improvable.
