Freak Show is a 1990 studio album and a series of related works by The Residents, an experimental and enigmatic group of musicians and performers. It marked the beginning of The Residents' obsession with emerging computer technology in the 1990s, and much of the music was made with various MIDI devices.

Freak Show is the second studio album by Australian alternative rock band Silverchair. It was recorded between May and November 1996 and released on 4 February 1997 by record labels Murmur and Epic. It was nominated for the 1997 ARIA Music Award for Best Group, but lost to Savage Garden. Silverchair began recording their second studio album, Freak Show, in May 1996 while experiencing the success of their debut album, 1995's Frogstomp, in Australia and the US.
The question pops up when listening to this rather bland album from the band. Despite the numerous guest vocalists (including a carnival barker with an atrocious fake German accent), the sonic palette appears to be made up of factory presets from their new Macintosh audio hardware (circa 1990).
