21 Notting Hill Gate London W11 3JQ. Opening hours: Mon-Wed 6pm-1am, Thurs-Fri 6pm-2am, Sat 4pm-2am, Sun 4pm-11pm. Transport: Tube: Notting Hill Gate. Fortunately The Arts Club is keeping it real. Pretty crappy basement club with concrete floor, random furnishings and a stage with a sound system that should be audible at Piccadilly Circus. Last night it was a fiver to get in. A mistake on the part of the management on a Tuesday after the Easter Bank Holiday. The audience was sparse. Fortunately the headline band was totally worth the money and the trip. The Broken Witt Rebels are a rasping blues rock outfit destined for bigger things.
