Don't bother with the original, head straight for the more trancey Diss-Cuss remix, it's miles better yet still retains the house feel of the original. If you must have your house unadulterated, the Art Of Dance mix is also an improvement, the latter being massively plugged on the commercial radio stations in 1993.

The debut from Positiva, as Nick Halkes left XL to form his own label. And quite an auspicious debut it was from this long-running label with an ear for underground sounds that have that commercial edge. The title vocal "There's a void where there should be ecstasy" is a sample from Kym Mazelle "Useless", hence the writing credit to Marshall Jefferson that is shown on the label.
