Sweet performing "Call Me" from their seventh studio album Cut Above The Rest which was released in 1979. This was the first album released after the departure of their lead vocalist, Brian Connolly. either of them could have carried the frontman role.
The Sweet was a compilation album released as Sweet's debut album in the US and Canada, substituting for the 1971 UK album Funny How Sweet Co-Co Can Be. (The band's second album, Sweet Fanny Adams was also not given a US release, but tracks from that and the band's third album Desolation Boulevard were combined on the US version of that album to compensate for this.

OK, I love Sweet, I love Steve Priest but A) it's just not Sweet without Brian. you sing great Steve but again, it's just not Sweet and B) The hair! Steve, I know it was the 80's (?) and people had curly fros but you were a good looking man, this hair-do made you, how can I put this, NOT so good looking. just not Sweet without BC I'm afraid. This song amazed me as much as Dream On from the Level Headed album. So different but still with the notorious Sweet sound/harmonies. A great song from their best post Brian album Cut Above The Rest. I thought Call Me was a super catchy single. But it came with the onerous weight of having no Brian on board. And I think that was too much for any song to bear.
