Well, I'm kinda disappointed by this release. I wasn't able to get the original WARP release, so I decided to grab that one, thinking the original mix on it would satisfy myself. That original extended mix is a bit boring compared to the great "Leeds Warehouse" mix. For example, don't expect those nice sub bass work, it's almost the same loop which is played during 10 minutes... But the real shame is about the Uli Poeppelbaum mix. It turns out to be a lame trance remake... Moreover, Uli shows us that he knows how to make music by ripping off the first phrase of "Thomas Heckmann - Auge Um Auge". Check that song by yourself. I find this actually quite shocking because that small drumloop has nothing particular. If this guy ain't even able to do this, he shouldn't be releasing music. Other songs are ok. Overall, it's a release that will probably please trance and progressive djs, but it's also a pretty commercial release that shoudln't have been done to my mind as it doesn't respect the original work by LFO.
The Eigenart Remix is fantastic - slow moody breaks :-)
Totally agree. The so called original version seems to be a poor quality cover version, uncreditedly replayed by whoever. Keep away from this 12" if not interested in the 3 trancy remixes included.
