PANZER DIVISION was formed and began as an experimental noise project in 1998. Sturmgeschutz and Death Chamber saw alot of interest in listeners as well as some small labels. A small indie canadian label called Dark Black Musik wanted to release a PzDiv album, and in the year 2002 "From Normandy and Beyond" was pressed and released with PzDiv's first dancefloor hit "Omaha Beach Landing". Omaha Beach Landing was also included on Systemic Audio's first sampler, a local philadelphia distribution based label.
Panzer Division Marduk is the sixth studio album by Swedish black metal band Marduk. It was recorded and mixed at The Abyss in January 1999 and released in June 1999 by Osmose Productions. The theme of the album is fire, as Nightwing was blood, and La Grande Danse Macabre (the band's next studio album) would be death, forming a trilogy of "Blood, Fire, and Death", Marduk's vision of what black metal is, unending grimness (as well as a tribute to the Bathory album Blood Fire Death).
Panzer Division Marduk (Video - Fan Made). Panzer Division Marduk is Marduk’s sixth studio album and it is considered to be one of the albums that were in Marduk’s glory days. Released in 1999, at the time there was not many bands around then that could match the pace of Marduk and they opened up a whole new world of black metal which is beyond extreme. Other bands tend to try and recreate all the death and despair which is usually accompanied with world war two within their music, rather than doing this Marduk have done the opposite. The music feels a lot more energized and a lot more projected, it’s almost like they want you to feel like you are actually in the warzone experiencing bullets whizzing past you and mortar shells falling next to you but at the same time still having a black metal atmosphere.
