Anyone else finding it impossible to play through Downtown? I’m on my third copy. I ordered the Moss Green copy through King’s Road, then I got a replacement. Now, I’m on the standard EU release, through Amazon.de. Not one will play through the “break you bottle” verse. To make this even more fun, the IRP-pressed US version, much like the rest of the US reissue series, sounds like such unfathomable garbage, I can’t even begin to understand the number of things that must have been done wrong during its production. I’ve gone through three copies of that one and have given up on it not sounding like it was pressed with a trash can lid and then run over by a garbage truck. I’m using a meticulously set up Technics 1200 with an Audio Technica AT-OC9ML/II mounted on it, tracking at a VTF of 1.6g. Any thoughts?
