Delari
Do whatever you have to do to hear the heavy, slow, titanically soul-crushing masterpiece "You Are There," which makes most of Swans' and Alice In Chains' discographies obsolete. The anguished primal bellows near the end will put Idaho's later, more genteel recordings into relief and you'll hear them with new ears when you know the vocal power that Jeff Martin is holding back. The other songs don't detract from the proceedings, but are essentially a warmup to the grand finale that is the final song. The only other Idaho song that can be compared with this one is "Sliding Past."
